Dependency on Microsoft Word 2007 Interop libraries

The absence of a stable, well tested open source library in .NET to read from MS Word documents has forced us to rely on the complex APIs provided by the MS Word Interop functionality.
While we are in the process of hunting for good open source libraries ( such as those for Excel and PDF ), I am also parallely estimating the time and effort it would take to write a full blown word document parser of my own, Until then the consumers of these libraries and the systems where the applications using these libraries will be deployed must have the Microsoft Interop libraries installed on the system.
The primary interop assemblies for 2007 can be found on the following link:

Evaluated Apache POI based libraries to read and write word documents. These are typically Java based libraries; however using IKVM; I could get the .NET libraries created from these library files.

Will be releasing a partial fix for this in v1.1; which will also focus on making the library source portable to UNIX, Linux and Mac OS X platforms.
